In the last 24 hours I’ve said good bye to the old year and hello to the new one. Hello to the year 2009…
I woke up on December 31st, 2008 and divinely decided to create the website that would document my last twenty-four hours of the year 2008. I thought about it and lastwentyfour.net came to heart… So, before I got out of bed I began writing in my journal everything that had happened since 12 midnight on December 31st. I tried to lug around a journal all day, but unfortunately, I had to work and got really busy… needless to say there were not enough hours in that day to record each minuscule event as they occurred. But, there were some moments in this day that I could not ignore… I savored the joy of giving, assisting someone in need and being a superhero but only for a moment. I didn’t work late, I come home on time. I cooked with my husband and spent my time bringing the new year with him quietly, at home. Later that night I laughed, and I cried (Ironically ended up watching Seven Pounds the movie). I determined this blog would be functional with one entry at least tonight no matter what! And I accomplished that.
Since it’s original inception Lasttwentyfour.net has began to evolve into another something 
(just like me). I’ve since used it as a normal blog to communicate with my friends and family abroad.
